Rs 90,000 crore from Urban Challenge Fund to back city projects

A new Rs 1 lakh crore Urban Challenge Fund will support 60 types of city projects. This includes infrastructure, old city revitalization, and waste recycling. The Centre will release funds within six months. A Rs 5,000 crore Credit Repayment Guarantee Sub-Scheme is also launched.
